ABOUT US

Hello from the TechBox crew!

Founded on the principle of accessible education, TechBox emerged from a personal journey. As a college engineering student, our founder experienced the hurdles of a limited educational background in electronics and programming. Determined to bridge this gap for future generations, TechBox was born, offering an affordable, inclusive solution for teens interested in technology, programming, and electronics.

Our mission? To revolutionize learning by making engineering and computer science enjoyable and approachable. We understand the frustration of navigating DIY projects with incomplete resources and inconsistent instructions. At TechBox, we've curated all-inclusive kits with meticulously crafted guides and software, ensuring a seamless learning experience for all, regardless of background.

Join us in reshaping the future of education—one TechBox at a time.

Meet Girls Who Code

As part of our mission, we give back by making a donation for each individual purchase. Through donating a portion of each purchase, we are working to bring STEM education to under-served students in communities across the United States and around the world. It is our goal to eliminate the racial, gender, and socioeconomic gap in STEM fields by providing each student with the resources and opportunities they need to generate new ideas and the technologies of tomorrow.

Girls Who Code is a non-profit organization on a mission to close the gender gap in technology and to change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. In 1995, 37% of computer scientists were women. Today, it’s only 24%. The percent will continue to decline if nothing is done. The biggest drop off of girls in computer science is between the ages of 13 and 17. Through their programs, they counteract this drop off and are building the largest pipeline of future female engineers in the United States and are on track to close the gender gap in new entry-level tech jobs by 2030. Program participants are majoring in computer science at top universities across the US, while over 20 major companies have pledged to hire Girls Who Code alumni. Over 40,000 girls have participated in their programs and counting!
