The LCD 2004 I²C Display is a 20×4 character liquid crystal display that makes it easy to show text and data from your projects. Thanks to its built-in I²C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) interface, it requires only two communication wires (SDA and SCL), leaving more pins free on your TechBox Nano Board. It’s the perfect way to display sensor readings, timers, or menus while keeping your wiring simple and clean.
What's Included:
- LCD 2004 Display Module – 20×4 character display capable of showing up to 80 characters across four lines.
- Integrated I²C Interface Adapter – Pre-soldered backpack for simple 4-pin connection (VCC, GND, SDA, SCL).
Display Features:
- Large 20×4 Display – Easily show text, menus, and sensor data with four rows of 20 characters each.
- I²C Communication – Only two data lines needed (SDA & SCL), reducing clutter on your breadboard.
- Adjustable Contrast – Onboard potentiometer allows fine-tuning of text visibility.
- Backlit Display – Bright LED backlight ensures clear visibility in all lighting conditions.

What Educators are Saying
Real feedback from educators using TechBox.
"My students had such a great time with their Tech Boxes. Many, were so excited to accomplish the task that they were ready to take them home to continue the lesson.
You know what else was cool? All the kids who were running around after the lesson with Tech Boxes in their arms bragging to other students and fielding questions about them - they were so excited and proud!"
Educator, DuPont Manual High School, Louisville KY
"TechBox offered the hands-on interactive & educational component to Centre College's high school STEM camp that we needed! The Laser Stem Matrix introduced the students to wiring bread boards and programming, and it sparked the interest of some potential engineers in the group! With a range of exposure to technology and electronics, TechBox was able to meet the needs of everyone - from the beginner to the experienced. The instructions were easy to follow and offered educational lessons throughout for those who had less experience."
