How Do I Place a Tax-Exempt Order Using a Credit Card?
If your school, district, or organization is tax-exempt, you can still complete your TechBox purchase with a credit card while ensuring sales tax is not applied. Here’s how the process works:
Step 1: Add Items to Your Cart
- Visit tech-box.io
- Add the Learning Pathways or spare parts you want to purchase to your cart
Step 2: Request a Quote
- Click the shopping cart icon in the upper right corner
- Select "View Cart / Quote"
- In the "Educators, Get a Quote" section, fill in your contact details
- Be sure to mark that you are tax-exempt before submitting your quote
Step 3: Provide Your Tax Exemption Certificate
- Once your request is submitted, the TechBox team will receive notice of your tax-exempt status
- We'll reach out by email to confirm and request a copy of your tax exemption certificate
Step 4: Receive Your Draft Order
- After we receive your certificate, we'll mark your account as tax-exempt and convert your quote into a draft order
- You'll receive a secure link that allows you to checkout online with your credit card - without sales tax applied
- ALL future orders on the account using the SAME email address will be TAX EXEMPT
Step 5: Complete Your Purchase
- Use the link provided to pay with your credit card and finalize your order
- That's it - your tax-exempt order is complete!
